The current management is the 4th generation of the Welch family to work as funeral directors. We have the experience that can only be gained through time and conducting nearly 25,000 funerals since 1948.
Tim Welch, the current Managing Director and Alan Philpott are both Licensed members of the BIFD and hold the Diploma in Funeral Directing. Tim Welch is also a fully qualified embalmer and member of the BIE. The other member of our trio of funeral directors, Brian Hood, has a vast wealth of experience and knowledge accumulated over 31 years in the funeral profession.
We are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors giving our clients the peace of mind that we operate within the NAFD's strict Code of Practice Principles and giving them access to the Funeral Arbitration Scheme.
We have also been named as 'Golden Charter Funeral Planner of the Year (2009) for South East London and South East England'. Golden Charter is Britain's leading independent pre-paid funeral plan provider and chose us for the award for 'our dedication and commitment in providing an outstanding service to the community'.
